Point Lookout

Point Lookout is another place where I went to wet a line and always took my camera. The point is where the Potomac River meets the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. I started going to the Point around 1970. You could still see the building ruins from the Civil War and a large wooden hotel stood on the bay side. The hotel is gone and many other changes have taken place. I haven't been there in about eight years and I hear there have been even more changes.

A Rainy Night in Gettysburg

I went to Gettysburg for a Celebrate Gettysburg magazine event. It was rainy and the lights looked great on the wet sidewalks and streets. So I shot a few images, as I wasn't dressed to get wet. I might have been the only person who thought it was a beautiful night. I love shooting lights at night.

Raystown Lake

One place I always made sure I had a camera along with a fishing rod was Raystown Lake in Pennsylvania. It is the largest lake in the state, but what attracted us was striped bass. We usually fished in the fall and I usually tagged along during deer season where I got to shoot the area covered with snow. One night the weatherman said there would be light snow, we awoke to seven inches on the ground. It is a great place to boat as there are no houses on the shore, so it is quiet when wetting a line.
