Little Horses

Shirley and I were watching grandchildren this week and Wednesday we took a day trip to Land of Little Horses in Gettysburg. It's not often we go to Gettysburg and the trip doesn't touch on history. Well, we did talk about the Spangler linage (Shirley's fathers family), since they lived in the area. But the big part of the trip was the little horses. The attraction has more than little horses. There were donkeys, llama, turkeys, chickens, rabbits, goats, and much more. The girls had a great time and enjoyed the show. We came home with different souvenirs as we are the proud owners of two baby goats. The girls loved the animals, so I am sure there will be a return visit to Land of Little Horses. If you go take a camera, the animals almost pose for the camera as they are used to visitors. There are also memories to recaptured of family members, as Shirley and I had a great time. It was only my second time to the land of Little Horses. The first time was for a newspaper story in the 1980s.

What Bugs You

The neighbor boys came over and asked if I wanted to photograph a cicada killer. So it got me thinking of some of the images I have taken of nature in the past couple of weeks in the insect world which included butterflies to even a snail. These were all taken in Eldersburg.
