Afternoon Sun

I shared some sun rise images last week, so this time we will look at pictures taken mainly in the afternoon. When you read about photography, you always see keep the sun to your back. Well, there are some rules to be broken and that is one. If you take your time and look at what you are photographing, you can get some nice images with the sun. Most of these were taken in Carroll County, so you don't have to go far to get some nice images. Three of the images were captured at the Carroll County Farm Museum, two were shot at Raystown Lake, one in Baltimore and another at Point Lookout. The next post on the sun will cover sunset.

Ice Show

Last night we received about two inches of snow, covered by a layer of ice. We got a light coating of ice which gives nature a different look, one I like to photograph. Items outside that you would not give a second look at are suddenly screaming for your attention. You seems no matter where you aim the camera, there are images. I like a walk in the woods, because it is so quiet, but also there are plants like wild roses that look nice with ice. The herb garden also was worth a stop with the ice on the sage and rosemary. Now the weather people are talking about snow at the end of the week.
