Danica-mania

The excitement that is Danica Patrick came to the Mid-Atlantic area this weekend as she took part in two races at Dover International Speedway. It was easy to find Patrick at the track, just follow the cameras. Patrick, an open-wheel racer took part in the K&N Pro Series East on Friday and the Nationwide race on Saturday.

Traveling

It was foggy when I left Eldersburg Friday morning on my way to Dover, Delaware, but it was nothing compared to the fog on the Eastern Shore. I love the drive to Dover, as you go from the hills of Carroll to the flat of the Eastern Shore after crossing the Chesapeake Bay. The sun was rising as I crossed the bay and saw the fog cover the west bound bridge. I always look forward to seeing the Amish in Delaware and saw them in the morning and evening. Some time I will have to post some other images I have snapped crossing the Bay Bridge.

Special Olympics

After church Sunday morning, we drove by 140 Village Shopping Center. The Westminster City Police chief and I believe the Maryland State Police barrack commander were perched on top of Dunkin' Donuts. They were raising money for Maryland Special Olympics.

It Must Be Fall

One way to tell when fall arrives in Carroll is not the calendar, but Fall Festivals. This weekend was the annual Westminster Fallfest. We stopped by Friday evening to shoot the rides at night with a full moon. We returned Saturday evening to take the granddaughters to enjoy the rides. The girls like to watch the Carroll County Cloggers in action. Of course I took my camera. I love to shoot the events at night with the lights and motion.
