If you are looking for something to do this weekend or next, I suggest taking in the "Wizard of Oz'' at Century High School in Eldersburg. I shot dress rehearsal last night and I had to keep reminding myself that these were high school students in a high school play. They were very good. Most people have seen or read the books by L. Frank Baum, but there are a few twists such as a witch on skates, flying monkeys on skateboards and multi-media backdrop. The changes add to the story. The show is set for 7 p.m. on April 9, 10, 16 and 17. On April 10 the show goes on at 2 p.m. Enjoy. More images can be seen at eldersburg.net.

Yes, it's Gettysburg Again
We have family in town from Florida, so it gave us a chance to drive north to Gettysburg. We took a lot of tourist pictures, but I got to squeeze off a few shots of the area. Of course the barns in the Spring are nice, but there is still snow on the ground at Ski Liberty in Fairfield which could be seen in the distance behind an observation stand. The temperature was in the 80's so the bees were out, as were the birds. We also got to see folks using Segways to tour the battlefield. No trip to Gettysburg would be complete without a meal at Dobbin House Springhouse Tavern, which I highly suggest you visit when in the area.

More Spring
Man, here in Eldersburg it's getting greener and greener. By the way, the big news in Eldersburg is that Wal Mart has new carts. That doesn't sound big, unless you had to push one of the old carts.
We will have to get the mower out this week for the first time this year. The lettuce and onions are up in the garden. I have been busy taking my camera everywhere with me. I got the nice shadows of the daffodils while leaving the eye doctors. Remember to keep the camera handy.
