Down the Lazy Creek

I got to feel young today as we headed to my mom's house. We took the granddaughters to go swimming in the Big Pipe Creek. My mother lives next to the creek and I spend my youth along the water way. We had told my mother we would be visiting at her 75th birthday party last weekend. I grew-up splashing, swimming, fishing and ice skating on the creek. I guess you could say I was a member of the PCSC, The Pipe Creek Swim Club, ha ha. We picked up chicken on the way for a picnic, but not any chicken. Chicken from Bullock's, which we think is the best in the area. The first image is the view from an inner tube floating down the creek, boy was that a flashback. The girls caught crayfish, watched water bugs and checked out the shells in the water, but they got a kick out of floating down the creek in inner tubes. I know the creek has changed over the years, but the memories live on.

Visiting the Horses

On the way to Ocean City, the granddaughters said they wanted to see the horses. They had heard Shirley and I talk about our visits to Assateague Island and they wanted to see the horses. It was the fourth visit in the past nine months for Shirley and me. It was the most horses we had seen on any of the visits. The girls loved it. They also got to see the beach on the island, which got the excited about getting to Ocean City.
