Birthday Dinner

Birthdays in the family, finds us at Osaka in Eldersburg. The girls like the show and the adults like the food. The girls used to hide from the fire, but now they watch the flame. The chef we had last weekend put on a show and made a heart out of the rice for me, it was my birthday. It was a great dinner and the Barry's gave me a tie with the girl's picture on it. Shirley gave me an images of skunks. They are my favorite animal.

First Time Visit

The visit to Ocean City was a trip of many firsts. One of those was a couple trips to Assateague Island. I had fished near part of the island, but hadn't set foot on the sand. The nature on the island is great, as their are three trails. I walked two of them, which was great with the leaves turning. Their weren't many people on the island which was good for photographs. We came across the horses on a curve in the road. The horses will be another post. We went back a second time on a rainy day and stopped in the visitors center. The center is new and offered some history on the island. The fish were shot at an aquarium at the center. The next time we visit in the fall, we will head to Chincoteague to see the snow geese.

Another Sunrise

It's wet and chilly today, so that makes it a good time to share another sunrise from Ocean City. Hopefully it warms you up. While on the Eastern Shore, we also went to Rehobeth Beach. It was my first time there. There were a lot of first time visits for me on this trip. Like Ocean City, a lot of places were closed for the season, but enough was open to enjoy a walk around the town. I am an early riser, so instead of reading, I grabbed my camera and headed out to the beach. One morning, we ate at Dumser's Dairyland and I loved the place. It was a step back in time.
