Flags in Gettysburg

We traveled to Gettysburg on Saturday. Shirley did a little shopping and then we went to our favorite place to eat, Dobbin House. We love the french onion soup. Next was a visit to Evergreen Cemetery to look for the grave of Shirley's grandfather's brother. We have been during some family tree work on her family and found he was buried in Gettysburg. This was our second trip looking for the grave and we found it. He was a Lutheran minister, as is his grandson, who we have to contact. While in the cemetery I looked up and saw all the flags and just had to photograph the sight of the red, white and blue. It was very moving to see the lines of flags. We were there in the late afternoon and it was cloudy which made for some good light to take the images with little shadows. Remember on Monday to pause and thank those that have served to make this a great country.
