I Can Fly
People believe that you have to travel to the big city to take in a quality play. That thought was thrown out the window Saturday night at Liberty High School. We took in the production of Peter Pan preformed by the Liberty High School Upstagers. It was great, with plenty of action to keep little ones riveted to their seats. Yes, Peter Pan takes to the air and flies along with the Darling children. There is much humor in the play to have the adults laughing out loud. The play is directed by Tony Cimino, who can be seen in the images addressing the crowd. He said it was largest crowd for opening night at the school with over 700 people in attendance. If you are looking for something to do this week, I highly recommend traveling to Eldersburg to take in the play. The lights go down at 7 p.m. on Nov. 11, 12 and 13. If you have little ones, I suggest taking in the backstage pass which is an hour before the curtain goes up. You get a view of the set, lighting and meet the characters, along with getting their autographs and posing for a group photograph with them. I know I gushed about their Spring play ``High School Musical'' in an earlier post this year, but this is one show you don't want to miss. The cast got a standing ovation at the end of the play and deserved it.
