Wachapreague, VA

One of my favorite places to fish is Wachapreague on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. We would go there for flounder and tuna. They call themselves the flounder capital of the world. When I go fishing, I take a fishing rod and camera. Most of these images were taken in the spring on flounder trips. Being a history buff, I would have loved to see the town years ago, especially the Old Wachapreague Hotel. We would also fish at Oyster and Cape Charles on the Eastern Shore. The communties are on the water.

In Carroll, Patch has sites for Eldersburg and Westminster. It is very local oriented and the directory is also very helpful. Back to this posting. With the cold temperatures and I do mean burr, I figured seeing some sun images were warm up some of you. I dipped into my files and found out I had a lot, so I broke them into three categories, sunrise, afternoon and sunset. Today I am sharing some sunrise images. I love the light in the morning and evening, also known as the magic hour to some photographers. The photographers were shot in New York, Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland, but nine of the images were clicked in Carroll. In the next couple of days, I will share some afternoon images with the you in a couple days. Keep warm and enjoy.
