I have shot over 40 years of the Westminster Memorial Day parade and today was no different. It is said that Westminster has the longest continuous Memorial Day celebration in the United States. I saw my first Memorial Day parade looking out the window of my grandmother's second floor apartment on East Main Street. It was great to see the usual marchers like the Westminster Municipal Band, the local veterans, who answered the call for their country, the WHS band, etc. But I want to give a well done to Carroll Christian School marching band, who took part for the first time in a few years. They looked and sounded good. I have included a short video of their performance in front of the old firehouse. This is the second time I shot the little dog in the parade. He or she is so cute and seems to enjoy riding the motorcycle.
