Horses on the Island


























One of the main draws to Assateague Island are the horses and we were not disappointed on our visit. There were a few out and about including an mommy and an offspring. When leaving the island, the mommy horse stood on the road while some of the horses crossed. She blocked the road until a ranger made her move.
