Cherry Tree

There is a flowering cherry tree on Bartholow Road in Eldersburg that is spectacular this year. When it was at it's peak we had a few cloudy days and finally a partly cloudy day. I grabbed my camera and captured some images. The flowers looked great against the blue sky. Remember there is almost always a nice blue sky after bad weather. So be ready for Tuesday after a front goes through on Monday.

April Showers

They say April showers bring May flowers. Well, the rain came over the weekend. I shot these images before the storms on Sunday. The flowers are starting to bloom and looking good. The heavy snow did not seem to effect them. The dogwood trees are another matter. Our dogwoods only have blossoms on top of the tree and not many. It also seems like they bloomed early this year. Maybe it's just me. I notice other dogwoods like ours as I drove around Eldersburg. I also see many in full bloom. Spring is a great time to take pictures. There are colors, patterns, insects and rain. The water droplets on plants make for great pictures.

Union Station

I'm back. I was under the weather and fell behind in my blogging. For those that have been following my blog, we had family in town and made a few day trips. One of the trips was to Washington D.C. I haven't been to the nation's capital as a tourist in a long time but had been there for work and saw the inside of government buildings previously.
We parked at the Union Station and ate lunch there. The station was built in the early 1900's and is beautiful. I took some images as we were walking through on the way to a few museums. I would have loved to have seen the station in the 1940's. They said World War II at least 200,000 people passed through every day.
The one thing I know is I want to return and capture a few more images.

High School Musical:2

Well, after seeing "The Wizard of Oz'' last weekend at Century High, you should plan to attend "High School Musical 2'' at Liberty High School this weekend or next. Or maybe take in both stage productions this weekend. The play at Liberty is lively and very well done. I got to shot dress rehearsal this week and was impressed by the acting. Put the musical on the calendar as it will be preformed at 7 p.m. on April 16, 17, 23 and 24. A 2 p.m. show is set for April 17 and 24. The show also offers backstage passes for $3.
