Mister Green Jeans

That's a blast from the past; Mister Green Jeans was a character on Captain Kangaroo from the 1950s and 60s. We have a small garden in the back yard which has given us some fresh produce this year which included broccoli, peas, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, potatoes and eggplant. We had eggplant parmesan a few Sundays ago which featured the produce. The eggplant, tomatoes and garlic all came from the garden. I also enjoy snapping images from the garden.

Finally Rain

It's been a long hot summer. We have been able to keep everything watered by using a rain barrel, but have reached the bottom of the barrel this past week after more than 20 days without rain. So it was very welcoming to wake up to rain Sunday morning. I grabbed the camera and got some images out of the front yard.
